Make Up Academy's Smokin' Palette (long live the dupe!)

I love a bargain, especially when it comes to make up. I think that "drugstore" items have really increased in terms of quality over the years and one of the brands that I really, really enjoy using are Make Up Academy. I think of them as the Queen of the Dupes. They came out with the infamous Undress Me and Undress Me Too palettes (can you guess what they're dupes of?!) they have lip and eye chunky pencils galore and many many more wonderful, insanely cheap items. The newest addition to my collection is the Smokin' Palette, a dupe for the Urban Decay Smoked Palette. Now I'm mostly a neutral eye type of gal, and this definitely keeps my neutral side happy, but there is also a lovely selection of not-too-out-there shimmer shades which I have actually found myself reaching for more than I thought! The set also comes with a black eyeliner which I surprising impressed by. I always thought that "cheap" eyeliners would be very un-pigmented and difficult to use, but this is really black and very smooth and creamy. And do you know the best thing about this palette? It's only £6! I really don't think you could get a better palette for that price.

Lets look at some swatches!

Look how beautiful those colours are, and look how pigmented to. I used to find that less expensive eyeshadows were a lot less pigmented than their more expensive counterparts, but these are so vibrant and really good quality. I particularly love the third shade, a shimmery taupe colour which is so much more pigmented than it looks in the pan, and the purple colour, which I find a brilliant way to add a bit more colour into my make up, and looks really good with brown eyes.

Have you tried any MUA products before? What are your favourites?
